BIT.TRIP CORE is another title in the range of BIT.TRIP games centered around frantic rhythm-based experiences where you test your reactions and keyb0ard dexterity against increasingly challenging stages. BIT.TRIP RUNNER [review] had this down to a T with its side-scroller style gameplay, blended with music that synced with the action on screen. CORE follows this vein and requires the player to execute buttons at specific times to eliminate the hail of cubes headed towards the center of the screen.
•Classic NES-Style Controls!
•Beautiful Boss Battles!
•A Thumpin’ Chiptune-Inspired Soundtrack!
•Special Chiptune Guest Star Bubblyfish!
As well as that, the long awaited Trine 2 Expansion; The Goblin Menace has arrived on the Mac store, adding much more content onto the original game for $7.99. We had an early build of the game before release and recorded our first impressions here. We’ll certainly be getting back to it for review to see how much has changed since the beta build.
If you have yet to purchase Trine 2 [review], then the full game is now 66% off, at just $4.99. Even if the expansion isn’t on your radar yet, go get Trine 2 for a graphically stunning sidescroller.
