Cut the Rope made the transition to Mac this February and has since seen moderate success on the Mac App Store. But the great thing about level-based puzzle games like Cut the Rope, and the easy delta update system built into the iOS and Mac App Store framework is that developers can release new content to all existing customers for free. That’s exactly what Cut the Rope developers, Zepto Lab, have done. Head over to your updates tab at the top right of the Mac App Store screen, and sitting there will be a shiny new Cut the Rope update (provided you bought the game in the first place – review here).
This new update includes 25 new levels in the form of a new DJ box. Like all levels, this one is themed with unique interactive objects within the levels to mix things up, quite literally in this case. In the new box, you are able to spin vinyl disks with ropes and other objects attached to get your candy to Om Nom. It’s not a revolutionary change to the gameplay, but is exactly what you expect from a small DLC.
