Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery has made waves on the iOS store with its incredible sound design and unique retro-inspired graphics. After recieving huge critical acclaim on the iPhone and iPad, and even coming runner up as Apple’s Best iPad Game of 2011, Superbrothers have released the game on PC via Steam, with a Mac release set for later this year. In fact, the game is going to arrived “before the summer solstice” (when the sun reachest its highest position in the sky) which for 2012, will be June 20th.

We are super excited about experiencing Sword & Sworcery on a large Mac screen, and we’ll definitely be getting our impressions published as soon as possible after release to let you know whether it’s worth investing in. A price point has not yet been confirmed, but judging by the Steam price, we can assume Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP will retail at around $8 on the Mac App Store.
